ProudToBe — Terms of Service

1. Who we are

ProudToBe (the "Service") is operated by Tomasz Mariusz Borek, sole trader (ditta individuale), Via Duca degli Abruzzi 113, Taranto, Italy, VAT number (Partita IVA) IT03496100730 (the "Operator", "we"). You can reach us at hello@proudtobe.online.

The Service is available at https://proudtobe.online.

2. What the Service is

ProudToBe gives every person one public page at proudtobe.online/<address> — one link for everything you make: your accounts on other platforms, your videos and posts, your shop — and a place in a ranking of pages: the whole world, your country and your category.

A page collects points. There are four sources, and no other scoring:

• Votes. Every valid vote adds one point to the page that received it (section 6).
• Daily points. The owner of a page can earn up to eight points a day for their own page by taking part (section 6).
• Link in bio. A day on which new visitors open your page from outside ProudToBe adds one point, at most one a day (section 6).
• Referrals. A verified referral adds thirty points to the page of the person who invited (section 7).

Points update at once. Places in the ranking are set once a day, at 00:00 New York time, from the points at that moment. Every day the country whose pages earned the most points the day before is shown on the homepage as the flag of the day.

The ranking is a game of visibility. It is not a measure of quality, truth, popularity outside the Service, or anything else. We make no promise about the place you will reach or keep.

3. Who may use the Service

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

You must be a real, individual person. Companies, brands and projects may be represented by a person who is responsible for the page, but each account belongs to one human being. One person may hold only one account. If we find that one person controls several accounts, we may treat all of them as a single account or close them.

4. Your account

You sign in with your e-mail address (a one-time code or link) or with a Google account that carries a verified e-mail address. There is no password. The e-mail address is the identity of the account: one address is always one account, whichever way you sign in.

You are responsible for keeping access to that e-mail address and for everything done from your account. In Settings you can see the devices signed in to your account and sign the others out.

Without an e-mail address. You can vote and make a page before you sign in. The Service then keeps a guest account in your browser. A page made this way is temporary: it is shown for 24 hours and is kept only if you confirm an e-mail address or continue with Google within that time. A guest account does not earn daily points, does not count as a referral and does not receive a member number until an e-mail address is confirmed.

5. Your address and your page

Your address is the last part of proudtobe.online/<address>. Addresses are given on a first come, first served basis, with two exceptions:

• some names are reserved for the Service itself (for example rankings or settings) and cannot be taken;
• names that belong to a widely known person, brand or organisation may be reserved; see section 9. We may withdraw an address that impersonates someone.

Your page shows what you choose to publish: a display name, photo, cover image, category, location, links, text, images, video and other modules. You decide what is published; nothing on your page is visible until you publish it. Your points, votes received, verified referrals, place in the ranking, member number and the number of visits to your page are public by design.

Your page must comply with the Community Rules, which are part of these Terms.

6. Votes and points

One free vote a day. Everyone gets one free vote per calendar day, with or without an e-mail address. The day is counted in the time zone of your device, which the Service reads automatically. If your time zone changes, the new one applies from the following day. Free votes do not accumulate: an unused vote is gone at midnight.

Not for yourself. You can give your vote to any published page except your own.

Votes are free. Votes cannot be bought, sold or exchanged, and have no value outside the Service.

A given vote is permanent. Once a valid vote has been given, it stays with the page that received it. You cannot take it back or move it to another page.

Invalid votes. A vote can be invalidated only as described in section 10 (moderation). An invalidated vote is removed from the page that received it. Every invalidation is recorded.

Daily points. If you have confirmed an e-mail address and your page is published, you can earn up to eight points a day for your own page: one for coming to ProudToBe signed in, one for giving your free vote to someone else, and one for each of six different pages of other people on which you open a video or a link. Daily points are counted per calendar day in the time zone of your device and do not accumulate.

Link in bio. When people open your page from outside ProudToBe — from your bio on another platform, a shared post, your own website — your page earns one point for that day, however many visitors came: at most one point a day. A visit counts only if it comes from a real browser and the page stayed open for a few seconds. Visits by the owner, by bots and scripts and from data centres earn nothing. These points are confirmed once a day, before places are set; a day with suspicious traffic may be held for review instead of counting.

Staying in the ranking. A page whose owner has not been signed in for 72 hours leaves the ranking, the homepage and the country pages when the next places are set. It comes back when places are set after the owner signs in again. The page itself keeps working at its address the whole time, and it loses no points.

Shown numbers. On public pages large numbers are shortened (for example 12.4K). The exact numbers decide the places.

7. Referrals

Your page address, your QR code and the cards you share carry your invite. When a person arrives through them, confirms an e-mail address (or continues with Google) and, within their first seven days, either pastes a link on their own page or gives at least three valid votes to other people, the referral becomes verified and adds thirty points to your page. A signup alone, a click, a guest without an e-mail address or an abandoned account earns nothing.

Referring yourself, referring accounts you control, or paying people to sign up and vote in a scripted way is referral fraud (see section 10).

8. Member numbers and Founders

Pages receive a member number in the order set by the Service. The pages numbered 1 to 1,000 carry the Founder mark for as long as the page exists. A member number cannot be chosen, bought or changed.

9. Names, brands and trademarks

Your page name is your name on ProudToBe. Names are given on a first come, first served basis, with two limits.

Reserved names. Some names cannot be taken at all, because using them would mean pretending to be someone else: well-known brands, public figures and similar. If you try one, the builder tells you the name is reserved.

Claims. If a name on ProudToBe is your brand or your own name, write to trademark@proudtobe.online. Tell us which page you mean, what right you rely on (a trademark registration number, a domain, an official account elsewhere) and how to reach you. We tell the page owner, who has 7 days to answer. If the claim holds:

• the name is released and handed to the rightful owner if they have an account here;
• the page keeps everything else — its votes, its points, its referrals and its content — and gets a temporary name until the owner chooses a new one;
• the account itself is closed only where the use was plainly impersonation, or where the same person does it again.

We act on claims quickly, but we are not a court. Where a claim is genuinely disputed, we may keep the name frozen until the parties settle it between themselves.

10. Moderation

We keep two kinds of problem strictly apart, because they have different consequences.

A. Content and conduct. Prohibited content, threats, harassment, hate, impersonation, or other breaches of the Community Rules that are unrelated to manipulating votes. The page may be hidden, suspended, removed from the ranking or closed. Valid votes that this account gave to other pages in the past remain: a content violation does not make an earlier honest vote false.

B. Fraud and system integrity. Bots, fake accounts, multi-account farming, referral farming, scripted voting, deliberately circumventing anti-fraud measures. We remove fake referrals, subtract the points they produced, and invalidate the votes generated by the fake accounts. If an account is found to exist only as a tool of fraud, its outgoing votes may be invalidated too. Where honest and fraudulent activity can be told apart, only the fraudulent part is reversed.

All moderation actions are recorded. We aim to act proportionately and to explain decisions when asked. You can contest a decision by writing to hello@proudtobe.online; a person will review it and answer.

We may also remove an image you uploaded if we have reason to believe you do not hold the rights to it, or if it breaches the Community Rules.

11. Deleting your account

You can delete your account from Settings. We send a confirmation link to your e-mail address; after you confirm, your account enters a seven-day grace period during which signing in cancels the deletion. After the grace period:

• your personal data is removed and your page is anonymised (see the Privacy Policy);
• your address is released and can be taken by someone else;
• votes you gave to other pages remain with those pages, because a vote is permanent and belongs to the page that received it.

12. Your content and our rights

You keep all rights to what you publish. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, reproduce and distribute your content as needed to run and promote the Service (for example showing your page in rankings, search results, link previews and share cards). The licence ends when the content is deleted, except for copies kept in backups for a limited time and for content already shared by others.

You confirm that you hold the rights to everything you upload, including photos, and that publishing it does not violate anyone's rights.

The Service, its name, design, code and databases are ours. You may not copy, scrape or reuse the ranking data or other users' pages beyond what the Service makes available for sharing.

13. Price

The Service is free. We do not sell votes, places or anything else. If we ever introduce a paid feature, we will first update these Terms as described in section 15.

14. What we do not promise

The Service is provided as it is. We do not guarantee that it will always be available, error-free or that data will never be lost, though we do keep backups. Places, votes and points are numbers inside a game and have no value outside it. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost opportunities or damage arising from the use of the Service or from your reliance on a place in the ranking. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or your statutory consumer rights.

15. Changes to the Service and to these Terms

We may change, suspend or discontinue features. We may change these Terms; if the change is material, we will announce it on the Service or by e-mail at least 14 days before it takes effect, and you may delete your account before then. Continued use after that date means acceptance. We will not retroactively change how past votes were counted except through moderation as described above.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live. Disputes go to the courts of Taranto, Italy, without prejudice to the consumer's right to sue in their own country.
